Ellenwood Homes collaborated with Studio 9 Architecture & Planning on this lovely home in Uphill Nelson

The architects designed the house, and we worked with them on room layout specifics and interior design, as well as cost planning and construction. Located up by Nelson’s rail trail, this home takes full advantage of the lovely vistas of the lake and surrounding mountains. The style is clean and contemporary, with a natural colour palette and materials like white oak, granite, and concrete. We kept the tones on the lighter side and added some richer accent colours for contrast.

Marc and Lara provided a top notch product and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering a minor or extensive renovation. What also impressed me was when the tradespeople commented that Marc and Lara are some of the best and most professional people they've ever worked for. She was easy to work with and came up with great options and sensible solutions. My job was small, but both Marc and Lara gave it top-notch attention. I love my new kitchen! When we were initially getting quotes, some contractors would tell us what we wanted was very complicated, but Marc Brillon told us it was do-able. Throughout the project Marc was very conscious of costs and would provide options for more cost-effective solutions. Marc was also an excellent project manager - he handled the acquisition of materials and the management of subcontractors extremely well!
